African Drumming Workshop

Come along and join us for some rocking djembe (West African drum) fun in east London with a relaxed, friendly, healing and uplifting vibe. Come and de-stress and express yourself while learning rhythms and techniques from traditional Djembe drummers. This high energy class give a chance to learn some traditional African songs and dance moves too. Drumming in a group setting is great for increasing your sense of belonging, so come along and meet some new people whilst learning this new skill, no previous experience needed because you can’t get it wrong!
London African Drumming are the leading community providers of traditional African drumming, dance and performance workshops in London & the UK. Founded by Sue Goode, a senior practitioner, counsellor and psychotherapist, the aim is to promote a sense of community spirit, wellbeing and positive healing through the transformational process of group rhythm. It also gives a valuable teaching platform for talented and gifted traditional African musicians to showcase and perfect their teaching and English skills whilst staying true to their cultural heritage.
This event is family friendly and suitable for adult-supervised children aged 7 and above.
